Add a process for a quality checklist template
You can specify processes and subprocesses for a quality checklist template to help quality engineers filter and use the relevant checklists for which they are assigned.
Example
In a car manufacturing plant, the quality control team uses Teamcenter to manage their quality checks for three main processes: Assembly, Painting, and Final Inspection with subprocesses: Door Installation, Primer Application, and Safety Feature Check, respectively. They create a quality checklist that includes questions for all three processes. The quality engineer responsible for the Assembly process, filters the checklist to view only the questions relevant to the Assembly process.
Prerequisites
To complete this process, you must select a quality checklist template that is not released. If you want to specify the process and subprocess for a released quality checklist template, you must
create a new version of the checklist
, and specify the required properties.
Procedure
- In the Launcher , click the Quality Master Data.
If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.
Click Checklists, and select the required quality checklist template.
Choose More Commands
Edit > Summary .
- In the Checklist Configuration section, select one or more required processes from the Process list.
Note If a process is not listed, you can enter the name of the required process in the Process field.
- Select the required sub-process from the Sub-Process list.
Note
The Sub-Process options are dependent on the Process options.
If you have entered a custom name for the process, you must also enter the custom name for subprocess in the Sub-Process list.
- Choose More Commands
Edit > Save Edits .
