Configure FMEA master and variant comparison

You can configure which properties are compared when users align master and variant FMEA structures by modifying the CompareFMEAStructureRules.xml file and import it into Teamcenter. This configuration determines what differences users see in master and variant version.

Prerequisites

Create a backup copy of the existing

CompareFMEAStructureMVRules.xml

file

Procedure

1. Navigate to src\solutions\aqc0qcmaw\businessdata\aqc0qcmaw\install\data and open CompareFMEAStructureMVRules.xml file in a text editor.

2. Modify CompareFMEAStructureRules.xml file as per your requirements. Refer to the CompareFMEAStructureMVRules.xml syntax reference for an example configuration.

3. Import the modified CompareFMEAStructureMVRules.xml file into the CompareFMEAStructureRules dataset using the following command.
   Copyimport_file -u=<username> -p=<password> -g=dba -f=${TC_INSTALL_DIR}/ qfm0qcfmea/data/CompareFMEAStructureRules.xml -d= CompareFMEAStructureRules -ref=Text -type=text -de=r
   Note The value of the -d parameter in the command prompt must match the value of the Qfm0CompareFMEAStructureConfigFile preference.
