Modify the editable properties for quality action statuses

Prevent data errors and maintain process integrity by restricting which properties responsible users can modify as quality actions progress through different stages. You can modify the editable properties for each status in the Qam0QualityActionEditControl preference.

Procedure

1. From Launcher , click Preferences.
   If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

2. Search for and open the Qam0QualityActionEditControl preference.

3. Click Edit .

4. Enter the preference value using the following format:

                Copy`Status:property1,property2`
                
                    
                        If you do not include any properties for a status,
                            it indicates that responsible users cannot edit any properties for
                            that status.
                    
                    
                        If you include specific properties for a status,
                            only those properties are editable.
   

5. Click Save .

Examples

Modify editing rules for two quality action statuses:

• For the Active status, responsible users cannot modify any properties.

• For the Confirmed status, responsible users can modify only Total Hours Spent, Priority, and Name.

Update the Qam0QualityActionEditControl preference with the following values:
