Prepare FMEA MSR files for Teamcenter import

Before you import your MSR-XML files into Teamcenter, ensure that specific tags are included in the MSR-XML files to enable successful import and proper data mapping.

The following tags are required for importing MSR-XML files into Teamcenter:

You can also include additional tags in the MSR-XML file. To do that, you must update the MsrFmeaToPlmxml dataset. For more information about the MSR-XML attributes that can be included in the MSR-XML file, other than the mandatory ones, navigate to http://www.msr-wg.de/medoc/ and refer to the Downloads section.

The MsrFmeaToPlmxml dataset is the default dataset that contains the mapping file required during import. To use a different dataset, modify the Qfm0MSRToPLMXMLMappingFile preference to specify the dataset that holds the XSLT mapping file. This file transforms the MSR-XML file to PLMXML format.
