Add probable causes by creating them from markups on attachments

In the Root Cause Analysis work mode, you add attachments to the problem description defect to describe the problem in detail. For these attachments, in the Preview section, you can add markups on supporting information such as images, PDFs, or videos to provide specific information about the defect. You can create defects from these markups by submitting the problem description defect to the PSP__Create_Markups_for_Defect workflow.

You can create defects for markups added to images, videos, or PDF attachments.

Procedure

1. From Launcher, click Changes .

If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

2. From the CHANGES folder, select and open the Problem Solving process that you want to edit.

3. Click the Root Cause Analysis work mode.

4. In the left pane of the Root Cause Analysis work mode, select the problem description defect where you have added markups for the attachments.

5. Submit the Problem Solving process to the PSP__Create_Markups_for_Defect workflow as follows:

Choose More Commands > Manage > Submit to Workflow.

In the Submit to Workflow panel, select Assigned to view the available Problem Solving workflows.

From the Template list, select PSP__Create_Markups_for_Defect.

Specify a Name or accept the default.

(Optional) Enter the Description.

Click Submit.

The workflow creates defects from these markups with the name of the markup as the defect name. Additionally, the markup image is attached to the defect.
