Add a waiver period to a qualification record

You can extend the validity of an expiring qualification record by adding a waiver period. This extension allows qualified personnel to maintain their work authorization while completing renewal requirements.

Example

A production line operator with the Assembly Line Operation-Basic qualification (QU-000005) is authorized to operate Station 3 of the main assembly line. The qualification expires on March 15, 2025. Due to scheduled maintenance training, the operator cannot complete the renewal assessment before expiration. Therefore, the training coordinator adds a 30-day waiver period, extending it to April 14, 2025, allowing the operator to continue assembly operations while completing the renewal requirements.
