Replace a specification in the FMEA tree structure

You can replace an existing system element, function specification, or failure specification in the FMEA tree structure.

Procedure

  1. Open the FMEA and select the specification that you want to replace.

  2. Click Specification .

  3. In the Replace panel, select the system element, function specification, or failure specification that you want to replace the existing one with.

  4. To update the name of the existing system element, function specification, or failure specification, select the Update system element name based on selection check box.If you do not select this check box, the name of the system element, function specification, or failure specification remains the same, but the name of the associated specification object is updated.

  5. Click Replace.
