Enable automation for a quality checklist template

You can enable your quality checklist template to automatically show or hide questions based on your responses. When you enable automation, your checklist behaves similar to a decision tree where each answer determines which questions appear next.

Prerequisites

• You have added rating rules to the quality checklist template.

• The quality checklist template is not released.

Procedure

1. In the Launcher , click the Quality Master Data.
   If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

2. Click Checklists, and select the required quality checklist template.

3. Choose More Commands > Edit  > Summary .

4. In the Checklist Configuration section, select Adapt Rollup.

5. Select the required chapter, question, or subquestion.

6. Choose More Commands > Edit  > Summary .

7. In the Checklist Configuration section, select Checklist Answers and Adapt Rollup.
   The properties control the following automation:
   Checklist Answers Controls when different levels in the quality checklist template become active. After quality checklist template release, any level (chapters, questions, or subquestions) with this property appears inactive (grayed out) until their parent question is answered.
   
   Adapt Rollup Determines how the status indicators behaves throughout the levels (checklist, chapters, questions, and subquestions). When selected, the status depends on responses and rolls up from the child to the parent level (subquestions to question, questions to chapter, and chapter to checklist).

8. Repeat step 5 through step 7 for all the required chapters, questions, and subquestions.

9. Choose More Commands > Edit > Save Edits .
