Link a symptom defect to a failure code from the failure catalog

If a failure is related to a symptom defect, you can attach it from the failure catalog. You can link only one failure to a symptom defect.

Procedure

1. From Launcher, click Changes .

If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

2. From the CHANGES folder, select and open the required issue.

3. Click the Symptom Description tab.

4. Select and open the symptom defect that you want to link to a failure code.

5. In the Failure Code from Catalog section, click Add Failure .

6. In the Add panel, search for and select the required failure, and click Add.

7. If you want to change the linked failure, you must replace the existing failure with another one from the catalog. Do the following:

Select the existing failure and click Replace .

In the Add panel, search for and select the required failure, and click Add.
