Derive a change from an issue
In addition to deriving a Problem Solving process from an issue, you can also derive a Change Notice, Change Request, and Simple Change.
For more information about changes, see Managing Changes in Active Workspace.
Procedure
- From Launcher, click Changes .
If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.
From the CHANGES folder, select and open the issue that you want to use as the source of the change.
Choose More Commands
New Derive Change.
In the Derive Change panel, select the type of change.
By default, the Synopsis and Description fields are populated with the Synopsis and Description of the source issue. You can update these fields as per your requirements.
To assign a workflow to the change, select the required workflow from the Workflow list. By default, the associated workflow is assigned to the change depending on the type of change you are deriving. You can choose to use this workflow, assign a different workflow, or remove a workflow from the change.
In the Copy Options section, select the objects to be copied to the derived change.
Click Derive and Submit.
The derived change is created and displayed in edit mode. The details of the derived change are listed in the Implemented By section of the issue.
