Manage the FMEA master data

Replace system element, function, or failure specifications from the representation

Procedure

  1. Open the FMEA.

  2. In the FMEA tree, select the system element, function, or failure specification that you want to replace.

  3. In the Overview tab, in the Specification table, select the system element, function specification, or failure specification, and click Replace .

  4. In the Replace panel, select the system element, function specification, or failure specification that you want to replace the existing one with.

  5. To update the name of the existing system element, function specification, or failure specification, select the Update system element name based on selection check box.If you do not select this check box, the name of the system element, function specification, or failure specification remains the same, but the name of the associated specification object is updated.

  6. Click Replace.
