Create and maintain quality actions

Create a quality action in the Explorer

You can create quality actions in Explorer for personal use or for a small team. These quality actions are stored in your Teamcenter database but are not available in the Quality Master Data library.

Procedure

  1. From Launcher , click Explorer.

If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

  1. In the Content section, click Add .

  2. Select Quality Action.

  3. Specify the required properties.

  4. Specify the Due Date by which the responsible user must complete the quality action.

Note To ensure the quality action appears on the responsible user's calendar, you must specify the Due Date for the action.

  1. Select the Confirmation Required check box to make the responsible user confirm the action.

  2. Select the Feedback At Completion check box to send notifications.

  3. Select the Autocomplete By Dependent check box to automatically update the quality action status of the parent quality action to Completed.

The parent quality action status changes to Completed only when all dependent quality actions are completed. If any dependent quality action has a different status such as Canceled or Template, the status of the parent quality action is not updated. After the parent action is marked as Completed, adding new dependent actions with different statuses will not change the parent's completion status.

  1. From the Quality Action Status list, select a status. By default, it is in a Draft state.

  2. Click Add.

What to do next

You must now

add additional properties to the quality action
