Import an FMEA structure

You can import an FMEA structure in either the MSR-XML or in the PLM-XML format into Teamcenter

Prerequisites

For successfully importing an FMEA structure:

• In the MSR-XML format, ensure that the appropriate tags are included in the FMEA MSR file. For more information about the format of the tags in the MSR format, see Prepare FMEA MSR files for Teamcenter import

• In the PLM XML format, set a closure rule and modify the release_status_list property constant. For more information, see Configure Teamcenter import system to handle PLMXML.

Procedure

1. From Launcher , click Explorer. If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

2. From primary toolbar, click More Commands > Import/Export > Import FMEA.

3. In the Import FMEA panel, do the following:
   Click Choose File and browse to select the file that you want to import.
   
   From the FMEA Guidelines list, select the required guideline.

4. Click Import. You receive an alert when the import is complete. Click Alert to review the details of the import.
