Compare risk optimization between initial and revision actions

You can evaluate the effectiveness of your risk mitigation efforts by comparing initial and revision action groups. This side-by-side comparison helps you assess improvements in occurrence, detection, and severity ratings, and demonstrate risk reduction progress to stakeholders during FMEA reviews.

Procedure

1. Open the FMEA and select the system element.

2. Click the Difference Overview tab.
   
   
   
   A bar chart that shows a side-by-side comparison between the following is displayed.
   Action Priority (AP) initial state and AP revision state
   
   Risk Priority Number (RPN) and RPN revision state
   
   
   
   A table with information of the initial action groups and revision action groups is also displayed.
