Create and maintain quality actions

About quality actions

A quality action is a tracked task that you assign to responsible users to improve, maintain, or monitor specific tasks in your organization. When you create a quality action, the responsible user performs the required tasks to ensure quality standards in products, services, or business processes.

There are different ways to create a quality action.

Create a quality action in Quality Master Data library

You can create quality actions in the Quality Master Data library so that other applications such as FMEA, Problem Solving process, or Program Planning can use them. These quality actions are standardized templates for repeated use across your organization.

Create quality actions in Explorer

You can create quality actions in Explorer for personal use or for a small team. These quality actions are stored in your Teamcenter database but are not available in the Quality Master Data library.

Create a quality action from an existing quality action

You can create a quality action by saving an existing quality action as a new quality action. When you save a quality action as new, you can choose which properties to include in the new quality action and decide whether to carry over the status from the source action.
